Terms of Use

The rules for using this practice tool.

Last updated: 2026-10-03

1. Acceptance and the service

By using fscpracticetest.com ("we", "us") you agree to these terms. The service is a practice question bank and mock exams for the California FSC written test, based on the DOJ's published FSC Study Guide.

2. Unofficial

The service is not produced, reviewed, endorsed, or affiliated with the California Department of Justice or the Bureau of Firearms. Using it does not issue a Firearm Safety Certificate. Only a DOJ Certified Instructor can administer the official test.

3. No guarantee

We do not guarantee that you will pass the real test. Laws and the study guide can change, so check oag.ca.gov/firearms for current information.

4. Free sample and full access

The first 5 questions of an exam are free. Full access is a one-time payment at the price shown at checkout, with no subscription. It covers the full question bank, unlimited retakes, and chapter study mode, for as long as the service is offered.

5. Account and access

Access is tied to the purchaser's email and verified by a 6-digit code sent to that email. Sign-in sessions last up to 7 days and up to 2 devices at once; a newer sign-in signs out the oldest device. Access is for the purchaser's personal use. Sharing or reselling it is not allowed, and we may end access that is shared or abused.

6. Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. All sales are final and we do not offer refunds. See our Refund Policy.

7. Acceptable use

Do not scrape or bulk-copy the questions, use automated access, or try to bypass the paywall or rate limits.

8. Intellectual property

The site's questions, explanations, and layout belong to the site owner. The DOJ study guide is a public document owned by the State of California.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Questions: contact us. See also our Privacy Policy.
